Multi-genre band Parsonsfield was formed in 2011, named after the town where their first studio album was recorded. Initially, the band name was Poor Old Shine. After changing their name, the band's first studio album was Afterparty EP, which was actually their second album. The album had covers of some legendary singers, including Mississippi John Hurt, Huey Lewis and Bert Jansch, with one original as well. In 2016, the band released their second album, Blooming Through The Black, which attracted a lot of folk and rock lovers. After two years, Parsonsfield took this spotlight and released their third studio album, WE, which gained massive popularity. The single, Kick Out The Windows was one of the band's most loved songs and was premiered by the magazine American Songwriter.
Parsonsfield has been involved in multiple genres, but they are mostly known for their exceptional music in folk and rock. They have given music to films, television and theatres as well. The band wrote and performed the track theatrical, The Heart of Robin Hood and their single, Weeds or Wildflowers, from the album Poor Old Shine featured in the famous American series, The Walking Dead.
